CODING
Accurate coding is crucial to the appearance and performance of any website. Once the Photoshop Design (PSD) is approved by the client, coding begins in basic HTML and CSS with detailed PHP or Javascript to be completed later.
WORDPRESS & WORDPRESS THEME
Wordpress is an open source CMS (content management system) and user interface. Although Wordpress was originally created as blog management software, it has evolved into much more and is rapidly becoming one of the most popular web tools available. Wordpress enables clients to manage their own changing website content and update their own pages as they please. Clients wanting more control over their content may ask for Wordpress integration into a new site, or have their current site re-coded for use with the Wordpress environment. For clients who already have a pre-made or third-party theme, customization according to your own company colors or logo is available.
Wordpress is a great system because it’s simple. Unfortunately, it doesn’t always seem simple when you first get started; the dashboard can be a bit overwhelming and sometimes not all of the buttons seem to make sense. To help you out, we provide our clients with a free e-book (“Wordpress: The Web is Simple”) as well as a username and password providing access to our Video Vault (where we have some simple video walkthroughs for common Wordpress tasks).
INSTALLATION & INITIAL CONTENT
No worries. We will install Wordpress, your Wordpress Theme, and all necessary plug-ins and features for you. And inasmuch as a site canot be launched without initial content we will enter that for you, after which you can thereafter manage the content yourself using Wordpress (see Wordpress & Wordpress Theme and Content Creation).
